Rance Nault joined the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in November 2023. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Environmental Toxicology at Michigan State University in 2016 and his Masters in Biology with specialization in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology at the University of Ottawa in Canada. His research career has focused on investigating the health impacts of food and environmental contaminants on the development and progression of liver disease and toxicity leveraging emerging 'omic' technologies combined with traditional molecular biology and biochemistry approaches. Using these approaches he aims to refine our understanding of metabolic disease at the cellular and spatial level, and support the development of personalized strategies for the prevention and treatment of disease and toxicity.
